Finding the proper path
A thick book, lying on a desk in a monastery, hidden in the mountains. Nicely formed letters fill the pages, clearly the hand of an educated person.
Friday, 25 March 2011 at 10:03 Yet again, it has been a while since I picked up this journal. Mostly I have reserved my quill for other things over the past time. I have read a lot of old scriptures of Elvadosh and Xanthias. Old reports of a bloody battle. Fragments barely remembered. Pushed away to be replaced by happier thoughts. Even after all these years it is difficult for those few Kimaldians who have survived to relive what happened to our once beautiful kingdom. My own memories are vague - I was but a child and must admit I don't remember anything about the battle at all. On the other hand I wasn't near the city, a fact that probably saved my life, since most of the fighting took place there.
Even the smallest things seem to be able to have a large influence on our life. Life or death, divided by mere seconds, it seems. Cory knows why?
