Finding the proper path
A thick book, lying on a desk in a monastery, hidden in the mountains. Nicely formed letters fill the pages, clearly the hand of an educated person.
Monday, 06 July 2009 at 11:15 More than six years since the first of the Remnants set foot on Valorn. And so they started to look for others who shared the same fate, those who have seen their land perish by the hands of the Evil One. It started out as a way to organise a resistance against evil, as a way to put up a fight. How much has happened over the years, many brothers and sisters have come and gone. Some have just set a foot out the door, never to return, others have chosen to seek their own path, building their own home, with people flocking to their cause. Yet others have stayed and smile as I see their faces as I take a walk through the guild hall.
Through the years the guild has proven to be a solid and secure home for many. A place we all long for, we who have lost our ancient homes so long ago. Home. For me it is the third home I have known, ... and JKD was the 3rd man I could call father, in a way.
So much has happened over the years, good and bad, but I'll never forget it was here that I found training, help when I needed it, brotherhood and support. For an orphan, I can really consider myself blessed by the Gods.
