Tis been these many weeks since I last wrote in this journal. So many happening since that time.

Sergeant in the Vanguard and promoted to archivist....I am unsure that I am up to such responsibilities.

Then Katreenah, and my loss of her. Tis still to hard to bare at times.

Now a WARRIOR! I am most proud of this position and hold tight to the ways of my brothers in arms.

And, finally.....my son. I had no idea she was with child so long ago......seems a lifetime ago and it was, his. Ibram Gaunt is what he calls himself and I couldn't believe him the day he came to me. But, looking into his eyes and seeing his mother in them, I knew he was my child. Such a good lad, a little rough around the edges but fine and strapping is he in stature. He asks me to teach him my ways and I can not but help. A son, tis too much to think on at times.

Now, what to my wonders did happen, Mrah is here. I thought him lost with the rest of the family, but he is alive and well, thanks be to the Gods. He is still being the older brother though, and yet so much younger in spirit than I. Tis the strain of the land that has hardened me I am certain, but to see his face and hear his laughter has lightened my heart. Do I dare tell him of Ibram?

What wonders will the new year's coming bring to me, my new found family, and this land?

Today I shall begin to tell the story of Malak of Dundee. It is not a new story, but one told by many souls of this land. Hardships have given way to friendships and acceptance.

Returning to Dundee after many long journies was one of both happiness and the deep sadness of finding all you knew to be gone. Venturing to my family's farm I found the entire area scorched and razed to the ground. Only the demon hordes could have caused this destruction. Furhter, there has been no sign of my parents or brothers these many weeks that I have been home.

More later, I can't see the pages for the tears........
