On the road I have taken.

Fighting for the Light, while making it her life's goal to serve the God's as a Cleric, Stormy takes note of things around her and events that mark her time in the vast land of Valorn. Sometimes her entries will be amusing... probably most of the time not. In any case, it's not necessarily for amusement, but to help her record her journey and hopes others will find it useful on their journey.

It has been many many moons since I last wrote. My poor journal has been drenched in the blood of evil creatures [and sometimes mine.... sad.gif ] and then dried out in the Valorn sun too many times to count.

Recently the bunnies have been flooded with new recruits both newbie-esque and older players who were previously in other guilds. Lots of guilds are rising and falling. I wonder if I'll be able to keep up with all the new recruits.

I have been dividing my attention between the tomb and the western beach of Kilican Island. I have one more gold crystal blessing before finishing my available gold crystal blessings. I have been informed I need two more orange crystal blessings. Gold crystal Guardians have been harder to find in recent days... but I shall carry on in my search for crystals to get elucidated into blessings.

On the guild-front again, Denaree, my guild sister, has recently been granted Ladyship! It was a great day and I've yet to see her to give her face to face congratulations, I sent her a message through a courier service.

Well... So long, little journal.. hopefully it won't be this long in between entries next time.

It has been several days since I've last written. The day after my battles in the cave by the beach was spent mostly in slumber. The creatures were fierce and after victory over several... I was defeated. I needed to sleep off not only the loss in dignity but the bruising to my pride.

Next few days, I trained here and there. Nothing spectatular or extraordinary. The grotesque mallards surrounding the pond on the old poultry farm at first gave me trouble... but eventually became easier. I have gained experience enough to exclusively train twice with the trainer Ural in Milltown.

Today was a victory most joyously celebrated. Through the support of a Cleric, Kushtaka, I was able to battle my way through the sea caves to fight the villainous warrior and elite sea dwellers. As I defeated the latter, I gained armored leggings and armored top. Changing quickly, after Kushtaka's back was turned of course, I was able to continue on toward the infamous Death Lord of the sew dwellers.

The fight was long and arduous. Twice I had to retreat in order to give myself the proper potions to heal a little or else I might've been slain myself. The first time, I was not quick enough, and was struck twice more before I was able to fully retreat and heal. The second retreat, it took me three times before I was able to retreat from the beasts presence. The third time I entered, I was ready to take it down. A steady stream of thrusts and slashes from my rapier and the beast took it's final breath. I pried the scepter from his already chilling grip and stepped across the chamber to a portal that opened as the death blow was delivered to the vile creature. I was transported safely to Dundee Inn.

I was shocked to see life in the Inn continuing as it always does.... the same handful of people either harrassing the opposite sex or ordering up more ale. After an evil servant is defeated, or an apocalypse averted, one tends to understand how precious life actually is.

After a short conference with my fellow guildmates. It was decided the celebratory act would be travelling to Carnivale and taking another possibly ill-fated trip through the cannon. It was the same handful who were able to come. Skils led the way for Denaree and I... though this time, I wasn't the helpless kitten type. I was able to fight off Forest Bandits with the rest of them. It felt good to be able to hold my own. I found defenselessness to be unattractive on myself and had made it a personal goal to be able to defend myself against these uncouth degenerates.

So, after an exciting float down the underground river, we arrived at the banks of the hills that lead to Carnivale. I found it, again, to be exciting to be shot out of the old man's cannon. I was shot onto the mountains, and was soon attacked and killed by a mountain gnome. Denaree was shot to the grassy plains somewhere... where she was almost immediately attacked by wild dogs of some kind. Skils... poor Skils... did not survive his trip... but so is the will of the Gods. They also willed that he return to the land of Valorn, reincarnated.

Which begs the question.... what would Valorn be without Lord Skilgannon? Obviously pretty boring... because if nothing else. He keeps us bunnies all on our toes. Or on our bums in the farthest chair from his when he gets in his "wench bouncing" moods.

After a long night of battling rotting headless chickens... and disgusting rotting ducks... I arrive at the ability to advance my training to the next level. Of course, I wasn't able to right away, due to the trainers feeling I need to wait a day to mull over what I've learned. That's a fair request, so I wait until this afternoon to receive my intense training that now signifies me as level 12.

I had some trouble at first with the mallards... they insisted on killing me, and I had a hard time refusing. My new friend Raith, who is also a guild brother, offered and did lend a helping hand and blessed my quest. I am most appreciative of his help.

My friend Wintra was able to defeat the swamp viper and found a key, which permitted her to enter the castle in north Dundee, to receive a Shield from the mighty knights. I rejoiced at her accomplishment.

Today I seek to flush out the sea dwellers caves... and see if I can work my way up to being able to defeat the legendary Sea Dweller Death Lord. I know I am not fully ready for this battle, but I shall put forth all my efforts to someday in the near future... defeating this vile and evil thing.

On the gentle encouraging (alright more like proding with a pointy twig cut from a Dark Forest tree dry.gif wink.gif ) from Denaree... I've decided that a journal would be most helpful to me later in on my journey. To see where I've been, how far I've come in the fight for the Light, would be nice to look upon as I continue my adventure through this tortured land.

Ah enough of that, on to happier subjects. Yesterday proved to be a celebratory day. I was granted nobility and inducted into the Clan of the Shrouded Bunny. Both, Denaree and I, became nobility and bunnies in one day. biggrin.gif There was a raucous party. Partially in our honor.. partially just to be celebratory. In darker times, a party for a party's sake, is not a bad thing... as long as someone is on their toes in case of an invasion from the demon hordes. The God's were on our side, and no such attack happened during the party.

Later on, two fellow clansman helped Denaree and I travel from Dundee to Carnivale. ( Thank you, Skils! I had seen the random person flying across the sky, but I had always thought it was from a spell gone awry. I was informed that it was actually from cannons that are strategically placed around Valorn. I had never been to to Carnivale or been blasted out of a cannon, so the trip was very educational. The owner of the cannon, a spry old man assured us that the ride would be safe and gentle. Neither proved to be the case.

Denaree and I were lucky though, we both survived the fall. She ended up in Ryndall and I landed a shorter distance from the actual cannon, in the Endless Desert. I was barely able to breath from the fact that I had had the wind knocked out of me. Fleur happened upon me a short time after I was able to gather my wits enough to want to move and helped me to my feet as well as kindly lead me to the gates of Milltown. I am grateful for her help and hopefully I can return the favor someday.

Onto today...
I was able to advance again. I'm now that much closer to my goal of becoming a soldier of the Gods. My Clan leader bought me a rapier because he's just that kind... and even blessed me on my quest to fight evil.

I am now halfway to advancing to my next level of experience. Hopefully tomorrow, I'll be able to say I've advanced. "til then, unless something exciting comes around before then, I say adieu.
