It has been quite some time since I wrote in my book, Winter's warming has come and gone in a flash!
But I'm afraid this update is far less full of folly than the last.
The quiet has ended and it has been.. very eventful in the lands as of late to say the least. Demons have been appearing everywhere once more, the likes of which I have not seen in a very long time. I help out where I can, in between running endless circles in training.
Hopefully a solution is found soon to drive them back out!
But in the meantime it has also driven some old faces away from their guildhalls and slumber, and that at least I have been very glad for.

Fall Festival is in full swing, and it has been so very fun! I've even managed to find a few goodies hidden in those tricky pumpkins!
Speaking of pumpkins, I attended the pumpkin carving contest hosted by Twilight Serenity.
My carving skills may be severely lacking but I did enjoy seeing others' beautiful creations! It took a turn to get all of the pumpkin mush scrubbed out of my robes... but in truth I didn't mind.
It led to an interesting turn of events.
I've also met an iniate who is interesting, she makes me think back on when I was as young.
But for now I should return to running my circles, hunting for boxes.

I have spent many turns now running around the sands of the mirror of the desert north of Milltown, scaring up brown guardians. Slow progress, but still progress nevertheless.

I've been kept quite entertained by a new acquaintance however, as well as the always easy company of my friend Alfred when I make my way back from Nrolav to lighten my pack.
Yes, it's not been as bad as I expected in this desert after all, though I confess I am hoping to be rid of it before long.

Summerfaire has come and gone, memories of fun and joyful times with friends.
I have been spending many a turn in the spider caves since, and I admit at first I was very much displeased with the creepy-crawlies but their presence has grown on me, slightly.
I have always been a lover of solitude, and it is quiet there, nearly serene so long as you avoid becoming entangled in the many webs.
I try my best to not seclude myself too much, but I suppose old habits die hard, even when one is finally content.

I find myself sitting in solitude between bouts of training, attempting in vain to clear my thoughts that have accumulated since my reurn to the lands. With the Amazons disbanded during my travels, I have spent many an eve under the stars, no place to truly call home any longer.Though many Sisters still walk the lands, they have become separate, disjointed.

But not all has been so worrisome. Many faces, old and new alike have greeted me. Lately I find myself speaking often to a young iniate, torn between paths. He thinks perhaps I have already mentored him some, but I often see it the other way around. His own worries remind me that we all carry something. I will not allow mine to weigh me back down too much, not again.

This turn I also had the... interesting pleasure of meeting a member of the Murder of Crows. As I sat, sifting through recipes, I found my mind clearing, a joy in the possibilities of putting what I see as a mere hobby, to good use.

Now it is time to train once more, allowing my body to catch back up with my mind.
