It is better to keep silent and to be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

A new chapter in my life began this turn. I left clerichood behind to become a warrior. Thanks to Cody Fireblade for mentoring me in the way of the warrior, even on short notice. Now it is time for the test. Will I be able to walk the path before me?

After much thought I am considering a change of profession. There is someone I need to seek advice from first. There are still many questions that need to be answered.

I recently had a dream. In it I was having a conversation with a stranger on a seashore. It was as if I was talking to an old friend, but I did not recognize him. He told me I did something wrong and it needed to be made right. I have caused grief in my arrogance. At this point I am not sure how to fix my mistake. The stranger told me I was given an example to follow. Following the example is the only way to make things right. I did not understand this, so I asked him what it meant. He told me it did not matter what I said or did, without love nothing matters. I asked him how to love and he did not answer how I hoped he would. He said this, "What would you do to save the life of someone who is condemned to die?" Having heard this I stared at the ground disappointed at what I had heard. After a marc or so I looked up and he was gone.

This turn I completed the demonblood gold aegis crystal quest. Could not have completed it without the help of Eric Spellbynder and Lavender Morgan. Their help was much appreciated.

My father told me story long ago. I cannot seem to stop thinking about it. It is the story of the watchman. The watchman stands guard at the cities walls. He or she is responsible for warning the occupants of the city of anything that might be a danger to the city. If the watchman does not warn the inhabitants of the city of imminent danger their blood will be on his or her hands. However, if he or she does warn them, than their blood is on their own hands. I would not want that responsibility. There are a lot of if's involved in this story. What if the watchman does not recognize the danger, or what if the watchman warns the people and they ignore him? Only the watchman truly understands the weight of that burden.

Do not worry about the coming turns, they will worry about their own things. The troubles of this turn are sufficient for itself.

Recently I have noticed that many people lack vision. Sure, they are able to see, but they do not have true sight. At times one might be distracted by acquiring a larger plat pouch or maybe better armor. It is during these times that we fail to see those less fortunate than ourselves. We do not see those who may simply be in need of a few potions or the ones that need someone to offer them a word of encouragement. It has been said that one does not know what they have until they do not have it anymore. We need to be thankful for what we have and cherish those we hold dear. One day we may lose those we hold dear and stop and see that we have nothing. So, until that day comes love everyone like you would want someone to love you and take a moment or two to appreciate what you have.

After much searching, and with the help of many friends, I found the mysterious portal. The ultimate weapon of light has been an item that I have wanted for quite some time. It was hard work, but worth it in the end. Someone asked me about naming my newly acquired UW. There is only one name I have considered. That name is Ma'owr. Learned this from my father many cycles ago. It means a bright light, or metaphorically speaking, bright and cheerful eyes.

Do not let evil get the best of you, but overcome evil with good.

Even though the tongue is a small part it boasts great things. One word can cause great pain.

Better a small meal shared in love than an extravagant feast served with hatred.

It has been said that one does not know what they have until they have lost it. How true this is. Many seem to chase after a larger plat pouch or other possessions. If anyone ever found this journal and read it, I want them to know that life is to short to chase after things that are here this turn and gone the next. A true friend holds far greater value than any object one can hold in their hand. Take every chance you get to tell your friends and family how much you love them. Without love, life would have no meaning.

The one who speaks many words is full of pride and emptiness, but even the fool is considered wise when he does not speak. The wise will speak gentle but few words.

The words of evil people kill, but the speech of the just will save.

I am learning that solitude is not the answer I am looking for. The answer is quite the opposite. One can learn more in a polite discussion than from all the books in the lands.

If you only love the lovable, do you expect a pat on the back? I tell you, love your enemies. Help and give without expecting anything in return. I promise, you will not regret it.

Good friend, follow your father’s good advice, and do not wander off from your mother’s teachings. Wrap yourself in them from head to foot. Wear them like a necklace.

For wisdom is better than all the wealth in the world, nothing you could wish for can be compared to it.

If you are foolish enough to call attention to yourself by offending people and making rude gestures, cover your mouth. As churned milk turns into butter, so do riled emotions turn into fighting.

Pride will bring one low, but humility prepares one for honor.

The fool will let their feelings control them, but the wise hold back their feelings.

A gentle response defuses anger, but a harsh word kindles it.

It’s not what you swallow that corrupts you, but what you speak that corrupts.

Your heart gives meaning to your words.

As water mirrors your face, so your heart reveals who you truly are.

The quiet words of the wise are more effective than the ranting of a fool.

So the final journey begins...

If one is generous to the poor will not go hungry, but the one who shuts their eyes to them will have many curses.

I have much room for improvement... If someone asks for help on one quest, help them with two.

There is no fear in love. Love throws out fear, because fear involves anguish.

When two people love each other they will do whatever is necessary to protect the one they love. I have seen a few instances where one would lay down their life for another. I have found this to be the greatest form of love. Also, in some cases, death is the greatest fear. Once I thought that I knew love, but since then I have learned that love is not an emotion. It is action. Love is portrayed in how one person acts toward another. I have learned that love is kind and patient. It does not plot revenge nor is it proud. Love shows respect for another person. Also, love is persistent. To tell the truth, I am just beginning to understand love. After seeing what love is, I want to change certain things in my life. I want to share this knowledge with everyone I meet, but after spending this amount of cycles in the absence of company, my social skills are not what they once were. It seems to me that we can achieve so much more than we do now if we would just show love toward one another.

It is good to see someone leave darkness and find love. This is proof that there is hope for anyone. Some people just need a friend that will walk the extra distance with them.
