First Nights.

Rumors prevail of a man... Hm. No, I cannot say, lest Lox stumbles across this journal and sees our path. Surely, though a valiant man, he will turn and return to that which he has known all his life.

It has been nearly a week since we set out. I have yet to become accustomed to the smell of the Bos. Fortunately, he seems to understand that and stays back several paces.

Our journey started off simple enough, though he vanished the first night. As if I wouldn't notice. Nothing escapes my attention, but for now I will not punish him. He obviously didn't sleep at all as he had to rush to wherever he went, and back before morning light. Surely that is punishment enough. I did not allow him to shirk from his duties, and he did not complain.

Our first leg of the journey has taken us to the mountains south of Caern where I have stored several important items. Hopefully they will be valued enough by the man for him to give me the secret I seek.

Darkness is upon us, and it is time to hunt.
